After downloading the Flightmap installer, launch it by double-clicking on its icon (see right).
Subsequently, the installer will display a set of pages that let you configure the installation process. You can always switch pages using the “Back” and “Next&dquo; buttons at the bottom of the window.
In a first step, you'll have to accept the Flightmap license terms. Click the checkbox, and press the Next button to continue to the next page.
Setting up the installation
After accepting the license terms, you can select the file extensions to be associated with Flightmap. The native file format of Flightmap is .airx, but you can also select .air, which is used by older versions of Flightmap. Please note that selecting .air can conflict with “Adobe Air”, another software which may be running on your computer.
To conclude the setup, you can create shortcuts on the desktop and the start menu.
After the installation process has finished, you can launch Flightmap right away from the last installer page, the Windows start menu or your desktop (depending on your shortcut choices).
Enter license key
On startup, the unregistered version of Flightmap displays a nag screen that reminds you to register and unlock your version. After purchasing, you receive a license file named Flightmap.lic by email. Click on “Enter license key”, and open the license file or paste it into the text area. Your Flightmap installation will be unlocked immediately! You can also enter your license key later by clicking the key icon in the menu bar.
