Trip report: To Paris with sharklets

September 3rd 2014, 05:09 | Written by Konstantin Koll

On a recent trip to Paris, I've had the pleasure to fly two legs on Lufthansa's brand new Airbus A320 with sharklets.

Airbus delivers all new A320 with sharklets since 2012, the same year they've made a public appearance at the Berlin Air Show. They've already found their way into Lufthansa's fleet, as Lufthansa is rapidly replacing their aging Boeing 737 fleet with new Airbus aircraft. My two legs on those new birds (DUS-FRA and CDG-FRA) were exceptionally smooth and quiet—and saving up to 3.5% of fuel compared to the traditional wing fences. Enjoy the pictures!
